Membership Secretary’s Report
Andy wanted clarification regarding people who wished to be members but lived outside our area. It was decided that they could become members for £2, although they would have no voting entitlement. We currently had 94 paid up members.
A cheque was signed for £100 to Ann Silbert for soil purchased on behalf of Totterdown Sprouting. Current account bank balance was £3,189 in credit.
Suzanne to review progress towards funding for this at next meeting. We have received a grant of £1000 from the council although this has not yet been received in the account. Suzanne would chase.
There was nothing to report.
Simon was away and had given his apologies.
Talk of Totterdown
The spring edition had been issued and had launched the Directory.
The Big Lunch/ Playing out would be held in June and The Garden Festival date had been finalised as 12 July.
Suzanne suggested that we required further action on residents parking, and would approach George Ferguson. It was possible that a further meeting would need to take place later in the year.
James had indicated that he was no longer able to stand as a director and our planning co-ordinator. Many thanks were given to James for his stirling efforts over his period in office.
Any other business
Bristol Green Capital – CJ would investigate how we could get involved.
Excess noise at the Shakespeare pub: To be kept an eye on. People who wish to object can write to the licencing officer at Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
Geoff would do an article on bee friendly plots that could be established in Totterdown.
Date of next meeting:
AGM – Wednesday 16 April 2014
