TRESA's Committee Members
The role of the committee is to start the TRESA ball rolling and then to keep the momentum going. Each of the committee members has their own particular area of interest and activity, but all share the common goal of helping their neighbours make Totterdown a great place to live. If you see any of them around do say hello.
Chair
Suzanne Audrey
Suzanne was born in Bristol and moved to Totterdown five years ago. She is Chair of Tresa and a member of the newsletter sub-group. Suzanne is particularly interested in keeping an eye on planning applications; protecting and improving Totterdown's 'public spaces'; and promoting social activities in the area.
Vice-Chair
Alice Pollet
Alice has a strong interest in the School Road Park project and was instrumental in winning £80,000 for Totterdown through the Big Lottery fund.
Treasurer
Steve Sayers
As well as attempting to keep the books straight, Steve is the web editor for the TRESA site. He's a keen gardener and enjoys time on the allotment when he's not out scuba diving.
Secretary
Ed Bramall
As Secretary, and previously Membership Secretary, Ed is responsible for keeping members informed about what’s going on, as well as helping out with all kinds of TRESA projects. He’s lived in Park Street for six years, and thinks Totterdown’s a great place to live – especially with TRESA working to make it even better!
Membership Secretary
Margaret Davis
'Margaret welcomes new members to TRESA, and is in her 21st year of enjoying Totterdown's boho proximity to eclectic Bristol and the nearby countryside.
Ordinary committee member
Martyn Trowbridge
I have lived on and off in Totterdown since 1972 and feel the place is firmly back on the up once again. My direct family connections to Totterdown go back to the 1950’s, however research into my family tree links my connection to Totterdown back to Victorian times! So I have a keen interest in the area. I firmly believe residents working together can make an immense difference to the local environment. I joined TRESA to meet like minded people who held the values I had and were nutty enough to want to make them happen. Odd fact, I have a piece of the original Bush Hotel in my garden.
Ordinary committee member
Patrick Hulme
Patrick has lived in Bristol for 10 years. He thinks Totterdown has had a raw deal from the planners and would like to see a more pleasant centre to Totterdown with better shopping facilities. With ever more traffic on the roads, Totterdown is becoming an 'in place' for people being able to walk or cycle into work and he would like to see a more pleasant pedestrian and cycle route into town.
Ordinary committee member
Allan Keen
I have lived in Totterdown since 1995, I loved it so much I bought a house here in 1997. I decided to get more involved in the local community to give something back to the area I've live in so I got involved with Tresa. Totterdown is great place to live and I'd like to keep it great and see it get even better. I am a photographer and contribute to the newsletter... if you need a photo to promote or record a local event get in touch with me through TRESA or the Talk of Totterdown
Ordinary committee member
Catherine Mazza
Catherine was born in Bristol and has recently moved back to the city. She decided to call Totterdown home, attracted by the existence of TRESA and the lovely friendly vibe in the community! Catherine lends her support to a variety of projects and hopes there’ll be even more successful projects which mark Totterdown out as a colourful and welcoming place to live.
