Bedminster’s Own Rugby Club

After many years playing at different sites around the city, Broad Plain RFC have finally settled into a permanent home in a new ground at Bristol South End, off St John’s Lane (near The Brunel pub). There are 3 well drained, level pitches, and a brand new clubhouse with excellent bar and changing facilities

Broad Plain is the only rugby club in the Bedminster/Ashton/Southville/Totterdown area. The club has become heavily involved in the community, developing strong links with several local schools through in-reach rugby coaching, and is always looking for more opportunities to work with schools. We have a thriving youth section with teams at U7, U9, U12 and U15 level. Kids aged 4-8 play non-contact tag rugby, which is fast and furious, and suitable for both boys and girls. After age 8 they are introduced to contact rugby. The accent is on getting fit, making friends, building confidence, and having fun!
