Victoria Park

Consultation

Hundreds of families living in Totterdown are being asked what improvements they want to see in Victoria Park over the next five years. The consultation exercise will shape the development of the park for generations to come.
Volunteers from the Victoria Park Action Group (VPAG) have been working on the project for nearly a year with help from Bristol City Council’s Parks Department. They have now produced a six-page consultation leaflet that covers every aspect of the park environment. VPAG members have delivered more than 2,500 of the consultation leaflets to homes around the park, and 500 more will be made available at events during July.

At these events people will be able to get more information about plans for the park, see architect’s drawings and maps, and talk to BCC staff and VPAG members. The dates and venues for these events are as follows.

VPAG is particularly keen to hear the views of Totterdown residents as the group’s membership is mainly drawn from the other side of the park. So if you use the park and care about its future, please come to one of the events or pick up a questionnaire from Mrs Brown’s Café in the park.

Motorbikes

Local police have reported a huge number of calls from local residents complaining about the mini moto and quad bikes being used in the park. Police Community Support Officer, Sarah Wareing, based at Broadbury Road Police Station is in the process of trying to contact each individual reported these incidents, and would like your help.

If you spot any anti-social behaviour, causing harassment or intimidation to members of the public, please take details of Vehicle Indexes a description of the vehicles and offenders. Report any incidents by telephoning 0845 4567000 with as much information as possible. This will help police in targeting and identifying key offenders which will allow them to take immediate action by way of fixed penalty and/or a potential fine and seizure of the vehicle.
