Nominations are open to find Bristol’s top 100 most influential Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) people. The Bristol BME Power List has been launched by the University of Bristol and the students’ union and will be run by the Bristol Post. Entries are open until Friday 9 March. More than 200 names have already been put forward and many more are expected. The task of deciding the final 100 will fall to a panel.
The motivation behind the list is to improve links between students and the wider Bristol community, and to provide students with more visible BME role models to inspire them in their own careers, activities and engagement with the city.
Nominations are now open and can be completed online at www.bristolsu.org.uk/bmepowerlist. All you need to do to nominate someone is give their name and a reason why you think they should be on the list.
