Led by Anne Silber, TS is a project to use open spaces around Totterdown to grow vegetables and fruit which everyone can share. We have been inspired by a project called Incredible Edible Todmorden. We are looking for people to help in many ways - for example planting, expertise, enthusiasm and organising.

Totterdown is beautifully diverse and we want to celebrate that by capturing stories of those people who have moved here from other countries.  Who are they, why did they move, and what do they love about Totterdown.  The stories will then be published to share the diversity of where we are.

Stanley Hill Street Party


Stanley Hill is often used as a rat run for traffic between Bath Road and Wells Road.  This creates pollution, noise, and danger.  Local residents are keen to tackle this issue through road calming techniques, as well as a monthly street party over the summer which closes the road for residents to meet up, chat, and play.

Community Space


Located at the bottom of Park Street, Totterdown.  The area used to be a playground but it feel into disrepair.  After much work by TRESA, it is now a useful space used for many events.  We are continuing to improve the site so if you have any ideas, please get in touch.

Zone N


The green area outside Totterdown Gym is often litter strewn, frequented by street drinkers and unloved.  We believe the area could be a vibrant and pleasant space to use.  TRESA have acquired funding to improve the area and are working to make it somewhere Totterdown is proud to own.

Zone A


After the aborted road scheme in the 1970s that demolished a third of Totterdown, Zone A was given to the people for a community centre.  With no funds to build one, TRESA are slowly improving the area, installing benches, trees, and artworks and making it a calm, breathing space.

Big Lunch


The Big Lunch is an idea from the Eden Project. The aim is to get as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours annually in June in a simple act of community, friendship and fun. TRESA has taken part since 2013.

Garden Festival


Each year TRESA holds a competition to recognise and award those who put in the effort to make their garden look beautiful and therefore make Totterdown a more pleasant place to live.  We have often held a festival in the summer to celebrate Totterdown gardens.

Festive Windows


We would like people to join us to make festive windows around Totterdown during advent. We are looking for 24 houses ( or possibly more ) to sign up and decorate their window on a particular day from 1st-24th December. We will then create a map so people can walk around and look at all the fantastic windows.

Ravenswell Mosaic (Complete)

Ravenswell Mosaic

Medieval monks laid pipes to take water from natural springs beneath Totterdown down to the Temple Church. In 2012 TRESA commissioned and installed a mosaic close to the Three Lamps Junction to commemorate our local heritage.

School Road Park (Complete)


The park on School Road had been declining for years. A group of residents came together to improve it and joined with TRESA to make an application to 'The People's Millions' Lottery Fund.  TRESAcic won the bid of £80,000 to improve the park.
