Led by Anne Silber, TS is a project to use open spaces around Totterdown to grow vegetables and fruit which everyone can share. We have been inspired by a project called Incredible Edible Todmorden. We are looking for people to help in many ways - for example planting, expertise, enthusiasm and organising.
Totterdown is beautifully diverse and we want to celebrate that by capturing stories of those people who have moved here from other countries. Who are they, why did they move, and what do they love about Totterdown. The stories will then be published to share the diversity of where we are.
Stanley Hill is often used as a rat run for traffic between Bath Road and Wells Road. This creates pollution, noise, and danger. Local residents are keen to tackle this issue through road calming techniques, as well as a monthly street party over the summer which closes the road for residents to meet up, chat, and play.
The green area outside Totterdown Gym is often litter strewn, frequented by street drinkers and unloved. We believe the area could be a vibrant and pleasant space to use. TRESA have acquired funding to improve the area and are working to make it somewhere Totterdown is proud to own.
We would like people to join us to make festive windows around Totterdown during advent. We are looking for 24 houses ( or possibly more ) to sign up and decorate their window on a particular day from 1st-24th December. We will then create a map so people can walk around and look at all the fantastic windows.
