Some items of interest from Bristol City Council

1.       The future of Bristol’s high streets – this is the final opportunity to contribute to the survey which closes Wednesday, 31 October.  Paper copies of the survey for residents and visitors are also available in the city’s libraries; further details here.

2.       Network Rail are currently installing new railway lines between Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway. During these works, scheduled to end on Sunday 18 November, some train services will be diverted, and buses will replace trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway, and along the Severn Beach line. In total, 11 railway stations will be affectedclick here for further details.

3.       The free-to-attend Bristol Clean Air Zone event is at UWE Exhibition & Conference Centre, Coldharbour Lane BS16 1QY on Tuesday 6 November (9.00am – 2.00pm). An opportunity to find out more about the UK Government’s plans for removing conventional petrol and diesel vehicles from UK roads by 2040, and how Bristol City Council are developing a Clean Air Action Plan.
