Totterdown Children’s Community Workshop – Seeking a new Chair

Totterdown Children’s Community Workshop (TCCW) is a an Ofsted Outstanding rated after-school club and holiday club. This much valued Totterdown institution was established in 1979 by local parents and is still run today (from our base underneath Holy Nativity Church) as a not for profit charity overseen by a voluntary management committee. TCCW is looking for a new Chair to lead the committee and the organisation, providing support and oversight.

The Chair is responsible for planning and preparing committee meetings and the AGM. The Chair ensures that meetings provide a space for discussion, ensuring that business is dealt with and decisions are made, and that all decisions, actions and discussions are clearly minuted, assigned and monitored.

The qualities being looked for in the Chair are: to have enthusiasm, time and willingness to lead this dynamic setting on a voluntary basis; to possess tact, diplomacy and powers of persuasion; to have the relevant skills to run a meeting.

If you’re interested in this high-impact volunteer opportunity please drop TCCW a line by emailing or phoning 07483 133154. We’re hoping to conclude process of finding a Chair in April 2020, but enquiries about joining the committee are most welcome at any time.
