What can we do about plastic pollution? TRESA public meeting, 21 November, Totterdown Canteen

At the next TRESA public meeting on Wednesday 21st November, 7.30pm at Totterdown Canteen, our guest speaker will be talking about the problem of plastic pollution. All are welcome to join in the discussion. Please come along if you can.

In the meantime, you may be interested to know that local environmental activist, Alex Morss, presented a petition to Bristol City Council on Tuesday 13th November, calling on the Council to do all in it’s power to cut unnecessary plastics. The petition gained cross party support. Cllr Kye Dudd, cabinet member for energy and waste, said a number of measures are already being taken: City Hall has switched to re-usable cups only, 12 new water fountains are available in Bristol, and efforts are being made to promote Bristol’s Refill scheme.
