Crowdfunding to relight the cross on the front of Totterdown Methodist Church, Bushy Park, Totterdown
Some years ago the cross was put in place by a team of mainly young people using ropes and ladders in a method no longer in keeping with modern ‘Health & Safety’ standards. Nowadays, to replace the lighting that has recently failed on the cross requires securing the services of skilled qualified professionals plus hiring a purpose built scaffold from a scaffolding company. This is expensive and beyond the means of current funds available, and it is not possible to know the extent of the work required until a suitable scaffold is in place.
