With over 400 good garden certificates issued in this year’s TRESA FRONT GARDEN COMPETITION, there were plenty of interesting entries for the judges to consider.
After much deliberation, there were 3 worthy winners, who have now all received their awards and prizes for a gardening job very well done!
Congratulations to everyone who won a certificate of merit and thanks also to our sponsors FIG1, GREENWOODS and TOTTERDOWN CANTEEN.
The winners, and judges’ comments, are as follows -:

This front garden is very small but contains a good variety of planting achieved by a design with differing heights whilst retaining good proportionality. The colour combinations of both flowers and leaves were good producing a harmonious effect and an overall very pleasing appearance.
Designed for Summer, sponsored by FIG1 – 24 Stevens Crescent.

An exuberant garden of summer flower planting. Again there was good harmony in the colour combinations with an amazing bank of blooms again achieving some height for a small front garden.
Family Fun, sponsored by Totterdown Canteen – 17 Oxford Street.

This is a very pleasing garden with nice floral planting livened by the addition of some cheerful gnomes, sure to entertain both adults and children.
