TRESA Directors meeting, 7.30pm 17th June 2020, via Zoom
1 – Opening
a. Apologies

b.Previous minutes
There were no standard minutes with action points. GA circulated notes from the talk by David Saunders. These were agreed and will be uploaded on the TRESA website. Action: SH
2. Directors reports (3 mins each)
a. Treasurer (inc Breakdown Table)
SH showed that the urrent balance is £11,240.79
b. Company secretary
The TRESA Annual Confirmation Statement has been completed by GA and acknowledged by Companies House.
c. Membership secretary
AS stated that we have 93 members and 10 friends.
d. Web Editor
The website has been successfully transferred to a new host “Host Cookie” and costs £12 per year.
e.Talk of Totterdown / eToT
Hard copy has not been produced because it was felt to be inappropriate to be delivering it during the Covid-19 pandemic. The e-version has been produced, circulated to members and friends, and is on the website.
Suzanne has been communicating with members by email about various issues. Nick has stated he is unable to produce the e-tot due to time pressures and he does not wish to commit to something he is unable to deliver.
3. Online Communications
During the Covid-19 restrictions, communication with members has been online rather than through meetings and activities. One member has suggested a Black Lives Matter reading group; another has suggested improvements to St Lukes Road to reduce speeding. SA has shared these ideas through TRESA gmail account.
4. Projects
a. Garden Festival
Help is needed for garden photographs. We will aim to produce 10 different posters comprising
photographs of front gardens and features.
AS will cover her side of Totterdown; SH to cover Bushy Park and Knowle Road; CJ and MC-H to
cover their side of Totterdown; SA and NW to cover Three Lamps estate.
NW to compile the photographs into posters.
CJ to check costs of printing with Doveton Press. (10 copies each of 10 posters.)

b. Totterdown Sprouting
The strimmer is broken and is in for repair.
One tree looks to have died on Zone A but other newly planted trees in the area are doing better; the community space is being well used during the current restrictions; there is a lot of soft fruit in the orchard ready for picking.
AS has refreshed the planter in Firfield Street;
SH has tidied up Zone N;
The gardening club is resuming (with appropriate social distancing).
c. Stanley Hill rat-run
There is an opportunity to log suggestions on the Council’s online map regarding safe walking and cycling adaptations. This presents an opportunity to express concern about the Stanley Hill rat-run.
LW is continuing to chase Highways and is very frustrated. Her housemate is going to take up the case and press for a change of officer or action, see if a new voice will have impact. Meanwhile LW has sent the road app to Stanley Hill residents on the group chat.
d. Zone A
TRESA is not aware of any further progress in reviving TACA under the current circumstances.
e.Zone N
No progress has been made on the agreed improvements.
f.Air quality
GA has suggested it might be possible to team up with other community groups in South Bristol to put forward some ‘asks’ to BCC and/or WECA to protect residents from air pollution whilst improving sustainable transport facilities. (WECA are planning to build more roads).
GA We could compile a list of TRESA ‘asks’ or hold a public meeting with an invited speaker on this topic and get local feedback during the meeting.
5. Planning
GA submitted a comment to the City Council on behalf of TRESA supporting the application for
permission to set up battery storage facilities at the St Phillip’s site by Conrad Energy.
SA said that an archaeological survey is being conducted at Totterdown Bridge. SA will circulate a
recent photograph. Action: SA
A large monopole with several cabinets is proposed for the pavement at the side of Zone N. SH has objected as an individual. It was agreed that TRESA will object as an organisation and circulate information to members. SA to share information. Action: SA, All
6. AOB
No AOB was raised outside of existing categories.
7. Close
a. Next Meeting
The next meeting will be on 15th July 2020, 7.30pm online via Zoom.
This will be the AGM. It was agreed to focus on essential business and not have a speaker.
GA to prepare an annual report. Action: GA
AGM presentation. Directors to present on their individual roles and activities at the meeting.
Action: SH, AS, CJ
Election of officers. An election will only be necessary if there are more than 10 nominations. Six
directors are willing to stand again:

Resignations: Claire Radford, Linn Waite. Both were thanked for their contributions to TRESA.
