Proposed development at 122 Bath Road
TRESA has formally objected to the development proposals submitted for 122 Bath Road (the current hand car wash site).
Our primary objections are to do with size and scale. We believe that 9 storeys on this site is excessive. This proposal is double the existing height profile for this side of the street and we believe this development will undoubtedly appear overbearing. Although the design is stepped, we still believe this will overshadow the historical site of the Thunderbolt pub.
TRESA has also expressed concerns regarding access. Proposed access is not via Bath Road, but via County Street, so this would be sending more traffic along narrow residential streets. These streets are currently subject to massive rat running and this would add further parked vehicles blocking the narrow streets.
Other concerns: parking provision, affordability, lack of playing provision for children.
