Directors Reports
Company Secretary: All up to date. Next submission will be the accounts and supporting documentation after the AGM.
Treasurer: Balance £4,513. Some of the ring-fenced totals may require adjustments, where a share was intended for the Talk of Totterdown publication. Action: SA
Talk of Totterdown
Summer issue has been printed and distributed.
GWR has contributed £816 towards the next three issues which will contain ‘Railway Talk’ articles. Suzanne has submitted the first monitoring report explaining that three articles were in the latest issue of the Talk of Totterdown: basic information about the Railway 200 funding, a piece about the history of Temple Meads, and an article about a current railway worker who lives in Totterdown.
Suzanne has given CJ details of someone to contact at Vattenfall to ask if they will consider giving funds to the Talk of Totterdown. Action: CJ
Moth trap
Anne is hoping Simon has picked it up from Rachel Bentham who had good results. Anne has arranged to go into Hiilcrest Primary School early July and is in touch with a moth expert who’s helping with some identifying. Anne is planning a report on moth biodiversity in the Totterdown Urban Nature Reserve in the autumn, and has some other plans for the moth trap including some evening sessions on public spaces. Apparently moths are attracted to a sugar rum combination painted on trees so maybe a cocktail evening for moths! Action: AS
Urban Nature Reserve
Anne has said Ben Barker is keen to get our map maker to help with a bigger map version. Simon is happy to help. Action: SH
We have advanced to a Stage 2 CIL funding application for the urban nature reserve. Action: SA
Orchard and Community Space
The orchard needs some attention. It is signed up for the Get Growing Trail 22nd September. There are also likely to be apples for an apple pressing this autumn.
Anne will talk with local residents about planned activities in the community space. Some activities happen spontaneously. There is a BUPA grant for community spaces which Anne will look at when she is back, with the possibility of investing in better planters. Action: AS
Planning
Suzanne has submitted objections on behalf of TRESA re. the York Road/Mead Street development, Totterdown Bridge and the Princess Street development.
Still to submit objection re. L&G proposal on Temple Island. Action: SA
Suzanne to attend Neighbourhood Planning Network meeting, 25 June 5pm, City Hall. Action: SA
Design Code
Land use: Linn and Suzanne are currently working on this. Action: SA
A part of land use, public footpaths/right of ways were considered. There are only two in Totterdown – St Lukes Steps and Thunderbolt Steps. Suzanne is enquiring about the pathway/steps from the end of Bushy Park to St John Lane, which has been marked on map since at least 1900 but is not currently a public right of way. There may be other footpaths that should be considered.
Character assessments: undertaken by Martyn (area around Bellevue Road); Robin for Three Lamps estate; CJ for Green Street. Two residents have requested the form but not returned the character assessment yet.

Banana Bridge
To reopen on Friday 20 June. TRESA has been invited to a low-key opening at the Clarence Road side of the bridge. There was discussion about a TRESA stall in Totterdown Square to celebrate. Suzanne to follow up. Action: SA

Suzanne to attend the Clean Streets Forum, 5.30pm at City Hall. Action: SA

A Londis store looks set to open in the old Assilah Bistro premises.
Old cookery school – no update on the proposed new wine shop.
Table tennis table in Totterdown Square. Can it be mended?
