Director of the Year Awards 2017

Directors from Bristol and across the West of England are being invited to enter one of the region’s top annual awards schemes that recognises excellence and enterprise. The Institute of Directors’ South West Director of the Year Awards 2017 will showcase outstanding leaders and entrepreneurs.

Nominations are open to anyone working at director level in any type of business or organisation. Categories include Family Business, Public Sector, Not for Profit/Third Sector, International, Corporate Responsibility, Young Director and Director.

A panel of experts will judge the entries with the winners announced at a gala awards dinner on at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, on May 25.

Nick Sturge, a winner in 2014 and director of the Bristol’s Engine Shed enterprise hub, said: “There are some exciting businesses in this region, from start-ups to multi-million pound turnover international players, many of whom don’t get the recognition they deserve. This year we really want to stretch the net wide and urge businesses who perhaps haven’t thought about entering before to give it a go.”

South West winners are eligible to go forward to the UK Director Awards in London in the autumn.  The entry form and more details are available by calling 0117 3707785, by emailing iod.southwest@iod.com or by visiting www.iod.com/southwest.

The deadline for entries is March 31.
