Tresa has been busy planting trees around Totterdown, recent plantings are in School Road Park, on the Wells Rd Community Space and above St Johns Lane. Photo shows a new downy birch in School Road Park.

The wassail last January was obviously successful and there is a now a good crop of apples in the community orchard ready for pressing on Sunday 13th October. Meeting at 11am in the Community Orchard Park St BS4. Bring bottles for apple juice. 

Sunday 6th October 11am. Help needed to clear up the Community Space in Park St BS4 ready for Apple pressing on October 13th. Bring brooms and gardening tools.

Apple Pressing Community Orchard BS4 3BJ Sunday 13th October from 11am The apple harvest promises to be good this year so looking forward to lots of apple juice. Bring containers and bottles for the apple juice.

The Wassailing will take place on Saturday 12th January in the Community Orchard on Park St, BS4 when we will once again be singing and making lots of noise to wake up the trees. Followed by ‘toasting’ the trees. Proceedings will commence at 11.30am. Bring things to make lots of[…]

Come and celebrate Earth day in the Community Orchard and say NO to plastic. Activities for all ages including the plastic challenge – can you sort a plastic recycling box into different plastics. What can be reused or recycled and what plastics could you not buy in the first place.[…]

Toasting the trees, singing to the trees and making lots of noise to drive away evil spirits. The Wassail will once again be held in the Community Orchard on Park St. BS4. Mulled cider and apple juice. Bring something to bang. Also new community shed ‘opening’ by Councillor Jon Wellington.[…]

Seven of us completed the bulb planting on Sunday. Bulbs planted included alliums, tulips and crocus. Thanks to Luke, manager at Tesco for organising the donation of the bulbs and to the Banco Lounge for free coffee and cake. We look forward to seeing the results in the Spring.
