On Saturday 11th January 2025, TRESA held its annual wassail in the Community Orchard and Community Space on Park Street, Totterdown. The wassail then processed up to Zone A on Wells Road to continue the celebration.
This year we had a new addition of the Rag Morris dancers who added further deligth with their colourful outfits and intricate dances. The crowd this year was the biggest we have seen since starting 10 years ago. About 50 people join across the two sites, watching the dancing, tasting some cider/apple juice and then singing to the trees and making loads of noise to wake up the trees from their winter slumber. Finally we “toasted” the trees by adding toasted bread to the branches.
