Temporary traffic lights have been installed at the pedestrian crossing on St Lukes Road. TRESA received the following information from a traffic signals officer at Bristol City Council :
“The removal of the pelican crossing was an emergency measure as it was dangerous. As soon as we received the news that the crossing had been condemned we began working on a temporary crossing whilst a permanent solution is arranged. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing you and assure you we are working hard to solve the issue both in the short and long terms.”
TRESA will continue to monitor the situation. If you have concerns about crossing St Lukes Road, or suggestions for improvements, you may wish to contact:
Cllr Jon Wellington, cllr.jon.wellington@bristol.gov.uk
Report your concern on the Bristol City Council website at:
