Repairs start on ‘cheese-grater bridge’

The ‘cheese-grater bridge’ near Temple Meads, which has been closed since September 2017, is expected to reopen in April 2019. Meads Reach Bridge was damaged when a lorry was driven over it, despite it being for pedestrians and cyclists only. Repairs have been delayed to settle an insurance claim but work has now started including the manufacture of new bridge plates.
