Please pass this invitation on to everyone in your networks, especially those who are frustrated with Bristol and the West of England’s transport. Everyone is welcome! Let’s make 2021 a year for positive change!

We are holding four meetings, focused on different parts of the Bristol and the surrounding area (see map here). If you cannot make the meeting focused on your area, you are welcome to come to a different one.

Are you able to make the journeys you want to make? Can you get on the bus with your kids, your shopping, or a wheelchair? What is it like on your street – is it somewhere you want to stop and chat, sit or play?

We want to create a plan with you that aims to make getting around easier, make our city more enjoyable for everyone, and to take to the politicians ahead of the local elections next year. We need you to help us make it, and to make sure our plan has local priorities.

The travel changes we have made during the Covid pandemic show us how different our neighbourhoods and city can be when we decide to act imaginatively and quickly.  Let’s use this energy to come together and imagine the better, cleaner public transport and less traffic many Bristolians want (recent research).  This is an ideal time to help tackle climate change, air pollution and traffic congestion and create healthy, neighbourly, vibrant and adventurous lives for ourselves  and for our children and grandchildren.

It takes time to implement big ideas but we can create a city with safe, clean streets and speedy, reliable and cheap trams and buses to get to work, visit family and friends or just simply enjoy ourselves.  We hope you will join us in creating and holding this vision.
If you choose to participate, we ask you to join a 2-hour (online) meeting, with people you may not be used to being in the room with.  We would ask you to share your views honestly when you attend.
It is up to you whether you choose to join us at this time. You are welcome to join us at any time, and if you are not ready now, you will be missed but not forgotten.
If you want to participate, but cannot make it for whatever reason, let us know and we would love to talk. Please contact emilia.melville@zerowest.org to find out more. If you leave your phone number we can ring you back.

Please sign up for the session in your area, or at a time that you can make:
