Decision imminent about gas-fueled generator at St Philip’s Marsh

Bristol Council will decide to allow or stop the building of a gas-fueled generator on St Philip’s Marsh at Committee at 1 pm on Wednesday 14th May.

Please put the date in your diary, and be at City Hall if you can. Pass this to all of your contacts and networks.

The officer recommendation is not available until Wednesday 8th May, but RADE (Residents Against Dirty Energy) believes the Committee will be asked to approve the planning application. Even if the recommendation is to reject the power station, we need to support the Council as we expect the Developer to appeal to the Planning Inspector if they do not get their way.

RADE are calling an Emergency Planning Meeting at St Philip’s Marsh Nursery School, Albert Crescent, St Philip’s Marsh, Bristol, BS2 0SU at 6:30 pm on Wednesday 8th May to look at the Report going to Committee and agree how to respond. Anyone who can help is welcome.

Meanwhile, if you can help in the fight, please contact us via this email address.
