BCC has decided to remove their annual subsidy of Jubilee Pool, putting the future of our much loved local pool in jeopardy. A community group, Friends of Jubilee Pool, has been set up to campaign for the pool to stay open in Knowle and we are working with local councillors, MPs and the pool operator Parkwood Leisure.
We urgently need more signatures on the petition to show local support for Jubilee. A petition is available at: http://savejubileepool.weebly .com/ or there are paper copies at the pool and in many local shops and cafes.
More importantly if everyone that signed the petition swam at Jubilee Pool once a week, the pool would need no subsidy. So grab your swimming cossies and your towels and take a trip to the pool for a swim with your family and friends. Please show your support by signing the petitions and using the pool. Every signature and visit counts.
