After a period of uncertainty for Bristol Wood Recycling, the organisation is set to move into a new home in early February at William Street in St Philip’s, close to the household waste recycling centre.
Bristol Wood Recycling Project co-director Kaleb Debbage said “It’s quite incredible that we’ll be in and trading so immediately. Our collections service is uninterrupted, and we’re already taking workshop orders.”
There is currently a huge volunteer effort going on at Cattle Market Road to clear the site and ensure that current landlords, Bristol City Council, have vacant possession by Monday, February 5. Lots of stock is being sold even cheaper than usual, and the old timber shed – known as the ‘ark’ – is also for sale.
