The new road layout at Temple Gate will be resurfaced over a three week period of night works.
There will be a series of overnight closures starting on Sunday 28 July from 8pm to 6am, followed by Monday-Friday overnight closures (8pm-6am) from 29 July to 16 August.
Contractors will resurface roads and paint new lining on Redcliffe Way and from Bath Bridges to Victoria Street, Temple Way and the Friary.
Businesses in the area will be open as usual with pedestrian routes maintained throughout.
The Temple Gate project is scheduled for completion in Autumn 2019. The resurfacing work will mean contractors can then progress with the installation of new and upgraded pedestrian crossings, bus shelters and cycling infrastructure.
During the overnight closures:
- Vehicles should follow diversions marked on site but, where possible, those planning a journey through the area are advised to leave extra time or consider alternative routes.
- Access to Temple Meads station will be maintained throughout the resurfacing but lane and turning restrictions (i.e. left-turn only on exit) will apply when work is taking place by Station Approach.
- Diversions to bus routes will apply. Details of these will be available on Travelwest.
The latest updates on the closures will be shared on the Temple Quarter Twitter account.
