Road closures and restrictions are in place around Temple Gate from 8pm to 6am between Thursday 5 and Monday 9 September (no closures planned for Saturday 7 September).
The closures are to decommission some of the temporary traffic lights that have been in use during the roadworks, repair faults to the carriageway discovered during recent resurfacing works, and to install inductive loops that, once the scheme is complete, will be able to provide feedback on traffic flows to the council’s control room to help manage congestion.
Local businesses will remain open as usual and pedestrian routes will be maintained during all closures. Diversions to bus services can be found on the Travelwest website. Drivers are instructed to follow diversions on site and allow extra time for their journeys.
