Because of concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic, Totterdown’s Front Garden Festival and Great Get Together were cancelled this year.
As with the Spring issue of Talk of Totterdown newsletter, TRESA directors decided not to post garden awards through residents’ postboxes – we did not want to do anything that could spread the virus or make residents anxious. However, we were keen to ensure that attention was drawn to the blooming front gardens and quirky displays on our streets, particularly given that so many residents had made a real effort this year to bring brightness to a somewhat bleak outlook! We were out and about taking photographs of some of Totterdown’s loveliest displays to share with you all, and created a series of 5 different posters which are on view in various places on the Wells Road – the community noticeboard on Zone A and in the windows of Hang It picture framing, Greenwoods, and the newly opened Brimstone Bar & Kitchen (previously Desi’s).
We hope you enjoy the posters as you wander along – you may spot your own garden, or the garden of a neighbour!
