Victoria Park cycle route update

With regard to the Victoria Park Cycle Route, I would advise you of the following:-

We delayed the tender process for the scheme, so as not to conflict with the Northern Slopes one.  This means civils works are now not planned to start until 5 March 2018;

Some crown lifting work along the route is programmed to be undertaken shortly (being arranged by Leigh, the local Tree Officer).  Whilst this helps the scheme, some of the crown lifting is part of general maintenance to provide good head clearance for existing users;

There is a planning requirement to provide some bat and bird boxes.  It is programmed to install these shortly, as this is a good time of year to undertake such work.
