Are you in the Back to School groove? Living Streets is determined to make this school year a big one for walking. Fix the Walk to School, and we fix our streets – that’s our motto.
To help us take the first steps, we are looking for parents, carers and anyone who takes part in the Walk to School to rate their route using our nifty Rate Your Walk tool.
As a parent myself, I am amazed at the things I notice that make walking difficult. Badly placed street signs. Pavement parking. Poorly maintained surfaces. And at the same time I am more aware of what makes our streets work better for walking, from convenience to accessibilty.
Give our Rate Your Walk tool a try. You will spot things you hadn’t considered before – and by sharing them with us, not only will we suggest ways to improve your streets, we will also use the findings to build a pciture of the state of ALL our everyday walking.
